Balance & Coordination Programs

40% of people over the age of 60 will sustain a fall injury this year. 33% of those people will sustain a significant injury due to that fall. This is absolutely unnecessary and the responsibility falls entirely on the individual. Aging is normal and part of life, but becoming frail and functionally challenged is not. We can help to maintain proper balance and coordination.

After the age of 40 we lose more muscle mass each decade as part of the aging process. This muscle loss is replaced by fat, which will lead to a loss of strength and function. When we lose strength and function we lose our balance and risk of falls goes up. The good news is we can slow this process down considerably and even stop it in its tracks. The key is exercise and daily practice.

Our mobilPT clinical team has developed balance-training programs that are designed to help regain strength and balance, which will reduce the risk of falls. Simple solutions you can do at home or anywhere you choose. All that is required on your part is enthusiasm and effort, we will provide the guidance. Aging is ok, fight frailty and stay functionally vibrant by engaging in exercise.
