Symptoms:
- Pain in the ankle

- Bruising
- Ankle instability
Causes:
- Twisting ankle
- Trip or fall
- Direct blow
Treatment:
- Period of immobilization
- Progress to ROM and stretching exercises
- Foot intrinsic muscle strengthening
- Lower extremity strengthening
