Bursitis of the Knee
Definition:
Inflammation of a bursa, a closed sac or envelope lined with synovial membrane and containing synovial fluid, within the knee.
Symptoms:
Point tender on the bursa
Pain with kneeling on the knee
Swelling in the knee
Stiffness in the knee
Pain with walking
Causes:
Overuse
Repetitive motion
Direct impact
Rheumatoid arthritis
