Mortons Neuroma
Definition:
Metatarsal pain caused by compression of sensory nerves by the metatarsal heads, sometimes with neuroma formation.
Symptoms:
Pain in the foot with weight bearing
Burning and/or numbness in the 3rd and/or 4th toe
Pain is relieved by removing footwear
Feels like there is a pebble in your shoe with walking
Causes:
Wearing poorly-fitted shoes
Irritation
Pressure
Injury
Treatment:
