Replace the anterior cruciate ligament, one of the major ligaments in your knee. Ligament cannot be sewn back together, so the ligament is replaced with a piece of tendon from another part of the leg or from a deceased donor.

Severe pain when bending the knee
Causes:
Most common in high impact sports
Knee hyperextension
The lower leg is forced forward in relation to the upper leg
Direct impact from the front of the thigh while the lower leg is in a stable position
Treatment:
Period of immobilization in locked knee immobilizer
