Cervical Fibrositis

Definition:
Cervical fibrositis is a common syndrome in which a person has long-term, body-wide pain and tenderness in the joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. The cause is unknown. Pain is the main symptom of fibrositis.
Symptoms:
  • Musculoskeletal pain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Muscle pain
  • Fatigue
  • Tender points - such as neck, spine, shoulders, or hips
  • Stiffness
Causes:
  • Unknown
Treatment:
  • Aerobic exercise
  • ROM and stretching exercises
  • Strengthening exercises
