Definition:

An unpleasant sensation in the elbow associated with actual or potential tissue damage, and mediated by specific nerve fibers to the brain, where its conscious appreciation may be modified by various factors.

Symptoms:

• Pain in the elbow
• Stiffness in the elbow
• Loss of ROM in the elbow

Causes:

• Arthritis
• Trauma
• Fall on outstretched hand

Treatment:

• ROM and stretching exercise to elbow
• Upper extremity strengthening
• Posture program
