Sprain/Strain Forearm
Definition:
An injury to a ligament of the forearm when the joint is carried through a range of motion greater than normal, but without dislocation or fracture; or an injury resulting from tensile force to muscle or tendon of the forearm.
Symptoms:
Pain in the forearm
Loss of ROM in the forearm
Pain with elbow, finger or wrist movements
Swelling in the forearm
Causes:
Trauma
Sudden forearm twisting
Repetitive motion
