Sprain/Strain Leg
Definition:
An injury to a ligament of the leg when the joint is carried through a range of motion greater than normal, but without dilocation or fracture; or an injury resulting from tensile force to muscle or tendon of the leg.
Symptoms:
Leg Pain worse with movement
Leg bruising
Leg swelling
Leg stiffness
Leg tenderness
Difficulty walking
Causes:
Muscle imbalance
Lack of warm-up and/or stretching before activity
Knee twisting motion
Repetitive stress to knee
Trauma to knee
