Disorders of Sacrum

Definition:
A disturbance of function or structure to the sacrum, resulting from a genetic or embryologic failure in development from exogenous factors such as poison, trauma, or disease.
Symptoms:
  • Pain in the back
  • Possible numbness in the legs or saddle region
Causes:
  • Genetic or embryologic failure in development from exogenous factors such as poison, trauma, or disease.
Treatment:
  • ROM and stretching exercises
  • Core stabilization exercises
