Thoracic Neuritis/Radiculitis
Definition:
Inflammation of a nerve in the thoracic disc.
Symptoms:
- Pain in the upper abdominal area
- Pain also the back, neck, or area between the shoulders
- Tight feeling around the abdomen or chest
- Numbness in the lower extremity
Causes:
- Thoracic disc herniation
- Age related degeneration
- Trauma to thoracic spine
Treatment:
- ROM and stretching
- Posture program
- Core stabilization exercises
- Lower extremity strengthening
