Fracture of Coronoid Process of Ulna
Definition:
A break, especially the breaking of a bone or cartilage in the coronoid process of ulna.
Symptoms:
- Pain in the elbow
- Swelling in the elbow
- Loss of ROM in the elbow
- Bruising
- Instability in the elbow
Causes:
- Severe trauma to elbow
- Direct blow
Treatment:
- Possible surgical intervention
- Period of immobilization
- Progress to ROM and stretching exercises
- Hand intrinsic muscle strengthening
- Upper extremity strengthening
