Knee Laxity Medial Compartment
Definition:
Looseness or freedom of movement of the medial compartment in the knee joint, normally or excessive.
Symptoms:
- Instability in the knee
- Pain with walking
Causes:
- Disruption of ACL or MCL
- Laxity in the medial capsule
- Medial capsule tear
Treatment:
- Possible surgical intervention
- ROM and stretching
- Knee stabilization exercises
- Lower extremity strengthening exercises
