Sprains and Strain of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament
Definition:
An injury to the posterior cruciate ligament when the joint is carried through a range of motion greater than normal, but without dislocation or fracture; or an injury resulting from tensile force.
Symptoms:
Knee pain
Swelling in the knee
Loss of ROM
Knee instability
Causes:
"Dashboard injury"- knee is bent, and an object forcefully strikes the shin
