Adhesive Capsulitis / Frozen Shoulder
Definition:
A condition with limitation of motion in a joint due to inflammatory thickening of the capsule, a common cause of stiffness in the shoulder.
Symptoms:
- Movements of the shoulder are severely restricted
- Constant shoulder pain
- Pain worse at night
Causes:
- Previous injury or trauma to the shoulder
Treatment:
- Stretching and shoulder ROM exercises
- Posture program
- Strengthening shoulder stabilizers
