Sprains and Strain of the Iliofemoral Ligament
Definition:
An injury to the iliofemoral ligament when the joint is carried through a range of motion greater than normal, but without dislocation or fracture; or an injury resulting from tensile force.
Symptoms:
Point tender to iliofemoral ligament Pain in the anterior hip Swelling in the anterior hip Bruising in the anterior hip Pain with kicking, standing, walking, running Loss of ROM in the hip
